#91 Makita XRM11 Jobsite Speaker: $165.48 Amazon $165.48 Home Depot $169.00 eBay
Pros: Pro Tool Reviews scored it 9.6 out of 10 and named it their favorite Bluetooth jobsite speaker, with full, balanced sound for its size and volume that stays clean because it is capped before distortion. It runs on Makita 18V LXT or 12V CXT tool batteries (about 26 hours on a 5.0Ah pack at low volume) or the included AC adapter, is IP65 rated, and stereo pairs or links up to 10 units. It also has an aux input, a USB charging port and bass, mid and treble EQ.
Cons: Its bass is nowhere near as deep as top ranked large speakers like the JBL Xtreme 5 and Tribit Stormbox Lava, which reach down to about 43 Hz and 44 Hz. Its single 4 inch woofer and tweeter play in mono, there is no radio, and it cannot charge tool batteries. Batteries are sold separately, Bluetooth range indoors is modest at about 15 to 20 feet in one test, and one owner reports a short drop killed it.
