#24 LG Xboom Stage 501: $449.99 Amazon $449.99 eBay
Pros: A party speaker with clear vocals, a 25 hour rating and a swappable battery. It has two 5.25 inch woofers and two 2.5 inch mid drivers on 160W from battery or 220W from AC, plus Auracast, two mic and guitar inputs, a vocal remover, six band EQ, USB playback and lights. HammoTech heard vocals clearly ahead of the JBL Partybox 130.
Cons: There are no tweeters, and HammoTech charted the high end falling from 5kHz and bass dropping off at 40Hz. In a battery powered side by side at 80 percent volume, the JBL Partybox 130 ran 3 to 4 dB louder with much stronger bass, and HammoTech preferred it. At 11.7 kg with handles but no wheels, it takes more effort to move than its price class suggests. IPX4 only covers splashes.
