Pros: A lantern style speaker with candle flicker and color lighting modes, ten built in ambient sounds such as rain and ocean, and a top handle for hanging it at a campsite. It has an aux input, app EQ, dual phone connection and Multi-Sync linking with other compatible ION speakers.
Cons: Its bass is nowhere near as deep as top ranked large speakers like the JBL Xtreme 5 and Tribit Stormbox Lava, which reach down to about 43 Hz and 44 Hz. No independent reviews or measurements yet, so its rating is estimated from ION’s similar speakers. A single 3.5 inch driver with two small tweeters means no stereo from one unit, the battery is rated for about 10 hours, and IPX5 covers splashes, not submersion. It is sold mainly at Costco.
