Pros: True 3-way floorstander with dedicated cellulose midrange and twin fiberglass woofers providing solid low-end authority to 40Hz. High 92dB sensitivity delivers lively, dynamic output with low amplifier power.
Cons: Minimum impedance dips to 3.0 ohms, requiring an amplifier capable of handling low-impedance loads despite high sensitivity. Rising top-octave treble can cause listening fatigue on brighter source material.
How it compares: Just above it: Triangle Borea BR09 - $300 more, 0.5Hz higher bass extension (-3dB). Just below it: Atlantic Technology 8600eLR - $4602 more, 1Hz lower bass extension (-3dB).
