Pros: A two-way floorstanding studio monitor with a 15” 2219Nd-1 Differential Drive woofer and the 3” D2830B dual-diaphragm compression driver on a Sonoglass HDI horn, crossed over at 800Hz. JBL rates it at 93dB sensitivity, very easy to drive, with a 6 ohm load and response to 28Hz (-6dB) from its front ports. Front panel trims adjust the high and ultra-high frequencies.
Cons: No independent measurements yet, so its tonal balance and directivity can’t be compared with ranked speakers. It weighs 63.5 kg each, stands 1.12 m tall, and is sold only through JBL Synthesis dealers at a flagship price.
