#4 Fulcrum Acoustic CCX1565 Passive eBay
Pros: Vendor measurements give the best scores in Fulcrum’s lineup: 4.62 on its own and 7.75 with an ideal subwoofer. The on-axis response is exceptionally even (0.15dB average deviation), and the subcardioid cabinet keeps bass from spilling behind the speaker, which helps on stages and near walls. Measured bass extension of 80Hz (-3dB).
Cons: Bass is shaped for use with subwoofers: -3dB at 80Hz and about 64Hz at -10dB, shallow for a 15-inch box. The predicted in-room response is less smooth than the 75 degree Fulcrum Acoustic CCX1577. It is passive, needs Fulcrum’s TQ processing presets, and is sold through pro dealers with no published price.
