Pros: Manufacturer measurements give it a 5.82 preference score with an ideal subwoofer, close to the LD Systems Stinger 10 A G3’s 5.89, at a lower price. A 2.2dB reference band keeps the midrange and treble tonally even, and the B&C compression driver on a 90° x 60° horn covers a typical audience area. It is light at 10.3kg for a 10-inch box, with 900W of built-in amplification, a 131dB peak rating and a DSP screen with six presets. Measured bass extension of 90Hz (-3dB).
Cons: Bass rolls off early, at 90Hz for -3dB and about 68Hz for -10dB, so it needs a subwoofer for dance music or full-band use. Off-axis sound is uneven, with a 5.74 directivity-index deviation, so listeners away from the center hear a different balance. The standalone preference score is only 2.90.
