#55 Electro-Voice MTS-4153: $20,623.00 Passive SoundPro $20,623.00 eBay
Pros: A stadium point source specified at 151dB for music, with an even on-axis response in vendor measurements (0.43dB average deviation) and bass to 67Hz at -3dB. Measured bass extension of 67Hz (-3dB).
Cons: Scores are low for its price at 1.47 on its own and 4.33 with an ideal subwoofer: the narrow 60 by 40 degree pattern gives uneven directivity (4.73dB variation) and a rough predicted in-room response (0.42 smoothness). At 148kg it is an engineered installation, and it needs external amplifiers.
