Pros: The wide-coverage sibling of the V7P, with the same 3-way layout of two 10-inch woofers, a horn-loaded 8-inch midrange and a 1.4-inch compression driver, but a 110° x 40° pattern for wider rooms. It reaches 65Hz at -3dB and a 139dB peak, and manufacturer measurements give a 5.15 preference score with an ideal subwoofer. Measured bass extension of 65Hz (-3dB).
Cons: A wide 4.6dB reference band and 0.659 listening-window deviation mean tonal balance is less even than the V7P, with a 2.44 standalone score. It is a 33kg passive touring cabinet that needs d&b amplifiers, and it is sold only through d&b dealers.
