#1069 Yanyin Moonlight 2023: $649.00 Linsoul $649.00 eBay
Pros: A tribrid with one dynamic driver, four Knowles balanced armatures and two Sonion electrostatic drivers whose bass and lower mids track the Harman target within 1 dB, with sub bass reaching to 20 Hz. The tuning is smooth and fatigue free, and 118 dB sensitivity makes it easy to drive from any source.
Cons: Presence and treble from 2 to 8 kHz sit about 5 dB under target, with a 9 dB dip near 5.4 kHz, so it sounds dark and lacks detail and air. Low 8 ohm impedance can change the sound on sources with high output impedance, and the Moondrop Dark Saber scores far higher for a little more.
Is the Yanyin Moonlight 2023 right for you?
Buy it if
- you are sensitive to bright or sharp treble (treble sits 5.0 dB below target).
- you want sub-bass rumble that reaches down to 20 Hz.
- you are happy to use EQ: our preset lifts its Harman match by about 27 points.
Skip it if
- you want the best value: the higher-rated EPZ G10 costs about $625 less.

Frequency Response
How the Yanyin Moonlight 2023 measures across the audible range, against the Harman in-ear target that most listeners prefer in blind tests. Where the line sits above the target that range sounds louder (more bass, brighter treble), below it quieter. The curve is the median of 5 independent measurements, so one odd sample or rig cannot skew it, and both lines are shifted so their 500 Hz to 2 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
Measurement data: median of 5 measurements from the squig.link databases of bakkwatan, breampike, flare, iemocean and yanyin. Thanks to each of them for publishing their work.
