#429 V-MODA Crossfade LP2 Discontinued eBay
Pros: Bass is lifted about 9.5 dB with extension to 20 Hz, giving kick drums and bass lines extra weight. It uses 1 x 50mm dynamic with an easy 32 ohm load.
Cons: Discontinued, so it is mainly found used. A 5.3 dB peak near 3.2 kHz can make cymbals and sibilance sound sharp. The 9.5 dB bass lift can sound boomy and mask midrange detail. Treble sits about 3.8 dB low, so it sounds a little dark. A Harman score of 1 places it in the lower part of the over-ear rankings.
