#1086 Ice Lab Prismatica: $799.00 Bloom Audio $799.00 eBay

Pros: A five balanced armature design measured by nine reviewers, with sub bass reaching to 20 Hz and bass about 2.5 dB above target, which is unusually full for an all armature earphone. Lower mids sit within 1 dB of target and the response is smooth at 2.7 dB deviation.

Cons: Upper bass is nearly 5 dB above target, which thickens the sound, and presence sits about 3 dB low with dips near 3.5 and 5.8 kHz, so vocals sound slightly recessed. Its preference score of 62 is ordinary for $799, and the ThieAudio Monarch MKIII scores far higher at a similar price.

Frequency Response

How the Ice Lab Prismatica measures across the audible range, against the Harman in-ear target that most listeners prefer in blind tests. Where the line sits above the target that range sounds louder (more bass, brighter treble), below it quieter. The curve is the median of 9 independent measurements, so one odd sample or rig cannot skew it, and both lines are shifted so their 500 Hz to 2 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
