#1111 Hidizs ST2 Pro: $69.99 Amazon $69.99 eBay

Pros: A single dynamic driver earphone on a USB-C cable with a built-in ESS DAC supporting 32 bit, 384 kHz and DSD128, so it plugs straight into a phone or laptop. Bass sits about 3.7 dB above target for a full low end and the midrange stays close to target.

Cons: An 11 dB peak near 8.2 kHz and a 6.5 dB peak near 10 kHz make the treble bright and can sound harsh, and upper bass nearly 6 dB above target thickens the sound. Deviation is high at 3 dB, and the Truthear Zero Blue 2 scores much higher at a similar price.

Is the Hidizs ST2 Pro right for you?

Buy it if

  • you like extra bass (about +3 dB below 150 Hz versus the target).
  • you want sub-bass rumble that reaches down to 20 Hz.
  • you are happy to use EQ: our preset lifts its Harman match by about 22 points.

Skip it if

  • you are treble-sensitive (treble sits about 2.3 dB above target).
  • you want the best value: the higher-rated EPZ G10 costs about $46 less.

Frequency Response

How the Hidizs ST2 Pro measures across the audible range, against the Harman in-ear target that most listeners prefer in blind tests. Where the line sits above the target that range sounds louder (more bass, brighter treble), below it quieter. The curve is the median of 7 independent measurements, so one odd sample or rig cannot skew it, and both lines are shifted so their 500 Hz to 2 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
