#1068 HiBy Zeta: $999.00 HiBy $999.00 eBay
Pros: A tribrid flagship with one dynamic driver, four balanced armatures and four electrostatic drivers per side, with sub bass reaching fully to 20 Hz and bass about 3.8 dB above target for a full, weighty low end. Lower mids and the 1 to 2 kHz range sit within 1 dB of target, so voices sound natural.
Cons: Upper bass is also about 4 dB high, which thickens the sound, and a 6 dB dip near 6.1 kHz followed by peaks near 7.9 and 10.6 kHz makes the treble uneven. Its preference score of 62 is ordinary for $999, and the ThieAudio Monarch MKIII scores far higher at a similar price.
Is the HiBy Zeta right for you?

Skip it if
- you want the best value: the higher-rated EPZ G10 costs about $975 less.

Frequency Response
How the HiBy Zeta measures across the audible range, against the Harman in-ear target that most listeners prefer in blind tests. Where the line sits above the target that range sounds louder (more bass, brighter treble), below it quieter. The curve is the median of 4 independent measurements, so one odd sample or rig cannot skew it, and both lines are shifted so their 500 Hz to 2 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
Measurement data: median of 4 measurements from the squig.link databases of bedrock, eliseaudio, hu-fi and practiphile. Thanks to each of them for publishing their work.
