#85 Focal Celestee: $999.00 Discontinued Amazon eBay
Newer model: the Focal Azurys, ranked higher, rated 3.5/5, released Jun 2024.
Older model: the Focal Elegia (ranked lower, rated 3/5). See every Focal Elegia, Celestee and Azurys generation.
Pros: Bass is well balanced, with sub-bass about 1.5 dB under target and the 60 to 200 Hz range essentially on target, giving clean low end without bloat. The 35 ohm, 105 dB per mW dynamic driver runs easily from a phone or portable player. Deviation is a modest 2.46 dB, and the closed back isolates from surroundings.
Cons: Presence at 3 to 6 kHz is about 4.9 dB low and treble from 6 to 10 kHz about 5.6 dB low, with an 11.1 dB dip near 9.7 kHz, so cymbals and vocal detail sound dull and veiled. At 430 g it is on the heavy side, and it is wired only. Its rating trails the Denon AH-D7200, which costs a little more. Discontinued.
