#1113 Campfire Audio Solaris Stellar Horizon: $1,799.00 Bloom Audio $1,799.00 eBay

Pros: A hybrid with one dynamic driver and three dual diaphragm balanced armatures in Campfire’s distinctive finish, with lower mids and the 1 to 2 kHz range within 1.5 dB of target, so voices have natural body.

Cons: Sub bass is almost 4 dB below target, presence is nearly 7 dB low with a 10 dB dip near 3.2 kHz, and an 8.5 dB peak near 10.9 kHz adds sharpness, so the response is uneven at 3.3 dB deviation. Very low 4.4 ohm impedance changes the sound on sources with high output impedance, and the SoftEars RS10 scores far higher at a similar price.

Is the Campfire Audio Solaris Stellar Horizon right for you?

Buy it if

  • you are sensitive to bright or sharp treble (treble sits 5.1 dB below target).
  • you are happy to use EQ: our preset lifts its Harman match by about 23 points.

Skip it if

  • you want more bass (about 3 dB below target).
  • you want the best value: the higher-rated EPZ G10 costs about $1,775 less.

Frequency Response

How the Campfire Audio Solaris Stellar Horizon measures across the audible range, against the Harman in-ear target that most listeners prefer in blind tests. Where the line sits above the target that range sounds louder (more bass, brighter treble), below it quieter. The curve is the median of 4 independent measurements, so one odd sample or rig cannot skew it, and both lines are shifted so their 500 Hz to 2 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
