Short answer: the Zealot S89. It ranks #19 of 112 boombox speakers by sound quality (rated 4.0/5) at $193.58 and is still sold new; the Bumpboxx Flare 6 ranks #82 (rated 2.6/5) and is discontinued, so it is only an option used.
The Zealot S89 is the better-sounding, longer-running choice. A great value boombox with deep bass, very high volume, a 40 hour battery and water resistance for outdoor parties. It is rated for 40 hours of battery against 12 for the Bumpboxx Flare 6. It links with other speakers (PartyAdd up to 100 speakers), which the Bumpboxx Flare 6 cannot. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Bumpboxx Flare 6 lacks. The tradeoff: At high volume, listener reports describe the bass as loose or muddy and the overall balance as less clear than better boombox speakers.
The case for the Bumpboxx Flare 6: A retro styled stereo party speaker with water resistance and a 12 hour battery. Watch for: There is no companion app.
Buy the Zealot S89. It is rated higher for sound quality; the Bumpboxx Flare 6 is no longer sold new.
