The Zealot PT21 is the better-sounding, longer-running option. A lighter party speaker with surprisingly deep bass for the money, a long battery, and a wireless mic for karaoke. It is rated for 60 hours of battery against 13 for the Sharp PS-929. It is rated IPX5, while the Sharp PS-929 has no water resistance. It links with other speakers (PartyAdd up to 100 speakers), which the Sharp PS-929 cannot. The tradeoff: Unlike some other Zealot models, app-based EQ customization doesn’t appear to be fully supported yet, and IPX5 means it can handle splashes but not submersion.
Why pick the Sharp PS-929: A battery party speaker with two woofers, a Super Bass button, lights, mic and guitar inputs, and a wired mic included. The catch: Bass extension is only about 60Hz at -10dB, so it lacks deep bass.
Buy the Zealot PT21. It is rated higher for sound quality; the Sharp PS-929 is no longer sold new.
