Zealot PT21 vs JBL Partybox 330

Last updated: August 10, 2026

Short answer: the JBL Partybox 330 for better sound quality, the Zealot PT21 for the lower price. The JBL Partybox 330 ranks #1 of 46 party speakers at $629.95. The Zealot PT21 ranks #12 at $216.73, $413.22 cheaper.

What the Zealot PT21 gets right: Dual 166mm woofers deliver quite deep bass for the price, plus a bundled wireless microphone with echo effect built in for karaoke, for a third of the price. The catch: app-based EQ customization doesn’t appear to be fully supported yet.

On the JBL Partybox 330 side: The top-ranked party speaker here, with a removable battery, handle and wheels, and dual mic/guitar inputs for karaoke and live sets. The tradeoff: it’s very large, sound quality is nearly identical to the cheaper 310 and Stage 320, and JBL’s daisy-chain only works with other JBL speakers.

Buy the Zealot PT21 if the price matters more than sound quality. Buy the JBL Partybox 330 if sound quality matters more than the price.

Zealot PT21 ranking card

Pros: Dual 166mm woofers and 200W output in a lighter, more compact body than the ZE41, with a bundled wireless microphone and echo effect built in for karaoke. Quite deep bass for the price, even deeper than the JBL Boombox 4 in direct comparisons.

Cons: Unlike some other Zealot models, app-based EQ customization doesn’t appear to be fully supported yet, and IPX5 means it can handle splashes but not submersion.

JBL Partybox 330 ranking card

Pros: Handle and wheels are convenient. Customizable lightshow. Removable battery. Slightly more power than the 310 and Stage 320 (280W vs 240W). Adds an optical TV input and USB-C lossless playback, plus dual mic and guitar inputs for karaoke and live sets.

Cons: Sound quality is nearly identical to the 310 and Stage 320 despite the power bump, so probably not worth an upgrade if you already own either of those. Removed the dedicated mic gain and microphone control knobs found on the 310/320. Some people don’t like the new lightshow design. Very large. Note, JBL daisychain is not compatible with any other non-JBL speaker and is possibly a fully digital signal.
