The W-King X20 is the louder choice. Alan Ross Reviews measured it at 112dB at full volume, against 108dB for the JBL Boombox 2. It has an adjustable EQ, which the JBL Boombox 2 lacks. Watch for: Rising frequency response but upper treble rolled off, 700Hz and 1.2kHz peaks.
The case for the JBL Boombox 2: 24 hour battery life (default volume); 20+ hours even at 60% volume. It links with other speakers (PartyBoost up to 100 speakers), which the W-King X20 cannot. Watch for: Somewhat bass heavy and boomy.
Buy the JBL Boombox 4, the replacement for the discontinued JBL Boombox 2; it is rated higher for sound quality than the W-King X20.
