Short answer: the W-King D9, if you are buying new. The Vifa Helsinki ranks higher than it (#1 vs #93 of 115 large speakers, 4.8/5 vs 2.5/5) but is discontinued, so only consider it used; the W-King D9 is still sold new at $89.98.
The W-King D9 is the longer-running, tougher option. A compact, punchy boombox with a very long rated battery, water resistance, and power bank output for casual outdoor use. It is rated for 40 hours of battery against 8 for the Vifa Helsinki. It is rated IPX6, while the Vifa Helsinki has no water resistance. The catch: Treble rolls off early, limiting air and fine detail, while owner reports note Bluetooth interference and some noise at maximum speaker volume.
The Vifa Helsinki is the better-sounding, lighter pick. A superb sounding battery powered speaker, with exceptionally clean mids and treble, now discontinued but worth buying used. At 3.1 lbs (1.4 kg) it weighs noticeably less than the W-King D9 at 4.4 lbs (2 kg). It supports aptX Bluetooth, which the W-King D9 lacks. The tradeoff: No TWS pairing, looks like a purse, requires a hacked Vifa app (Android only post #48) to enable night mode to sound good.
Buy the W-King D9 if you want one new; the Vifa Helsinki is discontinued, so only look for it used.
