Watch for: Sounds basically identical to the original and the Turtlebox Gen 2: each generation mainly added features, not sound quality.
The Diamondboxx M3 is the better-sounding, longer-running option. A compact, very loud boombox with a powerful amplifier and a choice of large battery packs. It is rated for 40 hours of battery against 25 for the Turtlebox Gen 3. Watch for: Despite its output, bass does not reach as deep as the best large portables and can distort when pushed hard.
Buy the Turtlebox Gen 3 new; the Diamondboxx M3 is no longer sold new, so it only makes sense as a used find.
