Short answer: it depends on what you want from a tiny speaker. The Tribit Stormbox Micro 3 gets a little deeper bass than its predecessor, but that bass is thuddy and distorted by default and needs an EQ to fix. The Xiaomi Sound Pocket is bass light and its vocals turn harsh above about 80% volume, though it is IP67 waterproof, lasts 10 hours and weighs just 0.4 lbs (200 g) with a slow 3-hour charge.
Buy the Tribit Stormbox Micro 3. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the $35.77 saving on the Xiaomi Sound Pocket is not enough to make up the difference.
If battery life is a priority, the Tribit Stormbox Micro 3 is rated for 24 hours versus 10 hours for the Xiaomi Sound Pocket.
