The Tribit Stormbox Blast 2 is the better-sounding, tougher pick. A big, waterproof party speaker with deep bass, very high volume, a 30 hour battery and two mic inputs. It is rated IP67, while the Diamondboxx M3 has no water resistance. It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the Diamondboxx M3 lacks. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Diamondboxx M3 lacks. Watch for: Sounds quite muddy with the boosted lower and upper bass.
The Diamondboxx M3 is the longer-running, lighter choice. A compact, very loud boombox with a powerful amplifier and a choice of large battery packs. It is rated for 40 hours of battery against 30 for the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2. At 11 lbs (5 kg) it weighs much less than the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2 at 19.2 lbs (8.7 kg). The catch: Despite its output, bass does not reach as deep as the best large portables and can distort when pushed hard.
Buy the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the Diamondboxx M3 is discontinued, so it is only available used.
