Tribit Maxsound Plus vs Soundcore Glow

Last updated: October 3, 2026

Short answer: both are discontinued, so this only matters if you are buying used. Used, the Tribit Maxsound Plus is the better pick: it ranks #22 of 157 medium speakers by sound quality (rated 4.1/5), against #47 (rated 3.6/5) for the Soundcore Glow. If you want one new, the Earfun Uboom L ranks #1 at $49.79.

Tribit Maxsound Plus vs Soundcore Glow

The Tribit Maxsound Plus is the better-sounding, lighter pick. Use XBass mode for flattest frequency response and balanced audio reproduction. At 1.3 lbs (595 g) it weighs noticeably less than the Soundcore Glow at 1.8 lbs (800 g). It keeps a wired aux input, which the Soundcore Glow lacks. It plays in stereo from a single unit, unlike the Soundcore Glow. Watch for: Slightly less deep bass than modern class leaders.

What the Soundcore Glow does well: Nice light show. It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the Tribit Maxsound Plus lacks. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Tribit Maxsound Plus lacks. It charges over USB-C rather than Micro USB. The tradeoff: Bass falls off quickly at louder volumes, leaving mostly treble; distortion on bass-heavy tracks at full volume.

Buy the Tribit Maxsound Plus only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, start with the Earfun Uboom L instead.
