Soundcore Motion X600 vs Vifa Oslo

Last updated: August 13, 2026

Short answer: the Vifa Oslo for better sound quality, the Soundcore Motion X600 for the lower price. The Vifa Oslo ranks #8 of 77 large speakers at $550. The Soundcore Motion X600 ranks #19 at $150, $400 cheaper.

Where the Soundcore Motion X600 shines: firmware 4.2.9 brought a big improvement in sound quality, and there’s a well-regarded EQ available to dial it in further. The compromise: the stock frequency response is wavy, you need spatial mode and a different EQ per volume step to get the best out of it, there’s a dip in the upper bass and the treble runs a little hot, and even with the recommended EQ the bass isn’t very deep and the sound is still a little unnatural.

The appeal of the Vifa Oslo: extreme treble detail paired with decent bass, full natural accurate sound at higher volumes, rich bass from its opposing 65mm woofers, and a premium Kvadrat wool and aluminum build with 10 hours of battery life. That’s offset by: a dip at 270Hz, and the fact that the cheaper Vifa Helsinki is generally more neutral if you specifically want a Vifa, while the Uboom L offers 95% of the sound quality for a lot less money.

Buy the Soundcore Motion X600 if the price matters more than sound quality. Buy the Vifa Oslo if sound quality matters more than the price.

If water resistance matters to you, the Soundcore Motion X600 at IPX7 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the Vifa Oslo at no water resistance.

Soundcore Motion X600 ranking card

Pros: Firmware 4.2.9 is a big improvement in sound quality over previous releases. Try this Oluv EQ for the best sound quality

Cons: Stock frequency response is wavy. Use spatial mode for best sound quality. Need a different EQ for each volume step. Dip in the upper bass around 120hz. Rising frequency response, treble a little hot. Would be ranked around #20 without the Oluv EQ. Even with the Oluv EQ the bass isn’t very deep and the sound is still a little unnatural.

Vifa Oslo: $550 Amazon

Pros: Extreme treble details with decent bass. Full, natural, accurate sound at higher volumes. Rich, full bass from opposing 65mm woofers. Premium Kvadrat wool fabric with aluminum handle. 10 hour battery life.

Cons: Dip at 270hz. The Vifa Helsinki is cheaper and generally has a more neutral frequency response, I’d highly recommend getting one of those instead if you specifically want a Vifa. Not sure I can recommend this one generally these days, the Uboom L has 95% of the sound quality with more features and a way cheaper price.
