The Soundcore Glow is the better-sounding, deeper-bass choice. Nice light show. Its bass reaches about 54Hz before falling 10dB, against 66Hz for the JBL Flip 4. It is rated for 18 hours of battery against 12 for the JBL Flip 4. It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the JBL Flip 4 lacks. Watch for: Bass falls off quickly at louder volumes, leaving mostly treble; distortion on bass-heavy tracks at full volume.
The JBL Flip 4 is the lighter choice. At 1.1 lbs (510 g), JBL Flip 4 combines 2x 40mm fullrange with Bluetooth and aux. Pros: Nice light show. Treble boosted 7db. Not technically a 360 speaker, only front and rear. Measured bass extension of 54Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Bass falls off quickly at louder volumes, leaving mostly treble; distortion on bass-heavy tracks at full volume. Light effects and bass-boost noticeably shorten battery life. USB-C port doesn’t support power-bank charging. Discontinued and no longer sold new.
