Short answer: the Tribit Stormbox for battery life and features, though neither ranks well in its class. It runs an excellent 20 hours, pairs for stereo, has instant on/off buttons, reaches 97dB max volume and is IPX7 water resistant at $68. The catch is that it sounds muffled and its treble dips from 5kHz to 12kHz. The Flare 2 at $80 rolls off the treble too but has a recommended Alan Ross EQ. Both are rated below 3.0/5 among the 164 medium speakers, and the Earfun Uboom L, ranked #2 at $49.79, is a better place to start if sound quality matters.
Buy the Tribit Stormbox only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, start with the Earfun Uboom L instead.

Tribit Stormbox: $68 Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the Tribit Stormbox 2, ranked higher, rated 3/5.
Pros: IPX7 water resistant, dual pairing for stereo setup, excellent battery life (20 hours), instant on/off buttons, 97dB max volume. Measured bass extension of 52Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Muffled sounding, treble dips from 5kHz-12kHz. Listening from the front is the worst frequency response, lay it down facing up with xbass off for the smoothest response. Not technically a 360 speaker, only front and rear. Discontinued; Tribit has retired it, superseded by the Stormbox 2.
