The Soundcore Boom 2 Plus is the better-sounding, lighter choice. Quite a bit lighter than most of the other boombox size speakers. At 8.4 lbs (3.8 kg) it weighs noticeably less than the Marshall Tufton at 10.8 lbs (4.9 kg). It is rated IPX7 against IPX2 for the Marshall Tufton. It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the Marshall Tufton lacks. The catch: Warm tuning meaning a rolled off treble and some upper bass boost.
The case for the Marshall Tufton: 20 hour battery life; 2.5 hour full charge, or 20-min quick-charge for 4 hours of play. The tradeoff: Not much lower bass, upper bass boomy, boosted treble, not very balanced overall.

Pros: Quite a bit lighter than most of the other boombox size speakers. This speaker will likely move up as we get a good EQ tune that makes it a lot more neutral. Measured bass extension of 39Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Warm tuning meaning a rolled off treble and some upper bass boost. Reasonably deep bass, but not as good as the top ranked.
