Short answer: the Soundcore 2. It ranks #105 of 177 medium speakers by sound quality (rated 3.0/5) at $29.98 and is still sold new; the Xdobo X8 ranks #158 (rated 2.3/5) and is discontinued, so it is only an option used.
The Soundcore 2 is the better-sounding, longer-running option. A cheap, light waterproof stereo speaker with a long rated battery, an aux input and pairing with a second unit. It is rated for 24 hours of battery against 15 for the Xdobo X8. At 0.7 lbs (318 g) it weighs much less than the Xdobo X8 at 1.9 lbs (860 g). It is rated IPX7 against IPX5 for the Xdobo X8. The tradeoff: Bass is specified only down to 70Hz, so the low end is limited.
The case for the Xdobo X8: A cheap splash resistant speaker that plays loud for background music outdoors, with aux and microSD playback. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Soundcore 2 lacks. It charges over USB-C rather than Micro USB. The catch: The single full-range driver is the limitation.
Buy the Soundcore 2. It is rated higher for sound quality; the Xdobo X8 is no longer sold new.
