Short answer: the Soundboks 4, because the cheaper Audiocase S5 has no real case. The Soundboks 4 ties for the loudest battery-powered speaker and carries a removable 40-hour battery, though it is very large, not stereo, and behind the top Partyboxes on neutrality and bass. The S5 matches the removable battery for $554 less, but our notes rate it worse than the far cheaper Tribit Stormbox Blast.
On the Audiocase S5 side: Also has a removable battery, for a third less money. The tradeoff: boosted upper bass and less clarity than higher-ranked speakers - our notes call it generally worse than the far cheaper Tribit Stormbox Blast.
Buy the Soundboks 4 at $1199 if you want a battery-powered PA speaker. Buy the Audiocase S5 at $645 if you want a party speaker instead.
Water resistance is not close: the Soundboks 4 is rated at IP65 (water jets), well ahead of the Audiocase S5 at no water resistance.

Pros: Audiocase S5 uses 2x 5” woofers, 1” tweeter. Its 7.9 kg, claimed 30 hours (Manufacturer specified) battery life, aux input, up to 108dB and stereo playback make it a practical option for its intended room or portable use. The battery is removable.
