Sony’s IP67 shell survives dust, drops and immersion, and real-world playback can exceed 28 hours with ULT off. Its upper-mid peak and rolled-off treble mean it is not a neutral-sounding mini speaker.
The $70 Stormbox 2 is lighter, has a 34W rating, app EQ and a 24-hour claimed battery. Keep XBass on for its best balance, but its side-mounted drivers make front-facing listening noticeably duller in the treble.
