The LG runs 24 hours, adds IPX7 waterproofing, 106dB max volume, XBOOM app control, Wireless Party Link and stereo pairing at $150, against $219 for the Sony. The Sony answers with IP67 dust and water protection, but our notes call it overly expensive, and the LG has no deep bass.
Buy the Sony SRS-XG300 only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, start with the Tribit Stormbox Lava instead.

Pros: IP67 dust/waterproof rating. Bluetooth 5.2 with multipoint pairing, LDAC codec support. Retractable carry handle for easy portability. Big boomy bass-forward sound, excellent for parties. Fast-charging: 10 minutes gives 70 minutes playback. Stamina mode optimizes battery. Measured bass extension of 54Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Overly expensive. Bass not as deep as competitors. Upper mids peak. Hollow sounding. Rolled off treble. Not much clarity. Does not float. Speaker will not remain at max volume and will turn itself down automatically. Discontinued.
