Short answer: the Sony ULT Field 5, if you are buying new. The Sony SRS-XB43 ranks higher than the Xdobo X8 Max (#57 vs #83 of 115 large speakers) but is discontinued; its replacement, the Sony ULT Field 5, is rated 3.5/5 at $268 and is still sold new.
The Sony SRS-XB43 is the better-sounding, longer-running choice. A waterproof party speaker with lights, a long battery and an Extra Bass mode for heavier low end. It is rated for 24 hours of battery against 15 for the Xdobo X8 Max. It supports LDAC Bluetooth, which the Xdobo X8 Max lacks. It links with other speakers (Party Connect up to 100 speakers), which the Xdobo X8 Max cannot. The tradeoff: Not as loud as others in the category.
The case for the Xdobo X8 Max: A feature packed waterproof boombox with a huge battery, power bank output, and enough volume for outdoor background music. Watch for: The voicing is bass-heavy with thin, boosted highs that can turn harsh, and reviews report distortion rather than clean dynamics when pushed hard.
Buy the Sony ULT Field 5, the replacement for the discontinued Sony SRS-XB43; it is rated higher for sound quality than the Xdobo X8 Max.
