The Move 2’s tuning is its strength, not its output. It sounds warm with a somewhat rolled-off treble and has slightly better midrange clarity than the original Move. The tradeoff is real: it isn’t very loud, and there are open questions about whether it shares the same full-volume issues as the first Move.
The Middleton II leans hard into bass, at a cost to the midrange. Its pros are limited to very deep bass for its size and weight, but the cons describe a boosted low end that drowns out the midrange, with a specific dip around 200Hz, a peak at 1kHz, and another dip at 1.6kHz creating a strange frequency response through the mids.
