Short answer: the Sonos Move 2. It ranks #25 of 78 large speakers by sound quality at $495.26; the Devialet Mania ranks #40 and costs $899, so there is little reason to consider the other one.
What the Sonos Move 2 offers: Warm sounding with somewhat rolled off treble. Slightly better midrange clarity than the Move 1. Watch for: Not very loud. This may have some of the same issues at full volume that the Move 1 had too, but I’ll need more sound samples at full volume to verify.
What the Devialet Mania offers: Small, nice looking. Watch for: Not very loud. Extremely high price. Bass boosted. Tweeters are not aimed at you and there’s a huge treble rolloff off-axis as compared to the Beoplay P6 in the comparison video. Only 10 hours of battery. Oluv didn’t like the upper mids or treble (mentioned on his Patreon)
Buy the Sonos Move 2. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Devialet Mania and costs less, so there is no real case for the other one.
Battery life favors the Sonos Move 2: rated for 24 hours against 10 hours for the Devialet Mania.
