Short answer: the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 4 for portability features, the Skullcandy Terrain only if you need the strap, though neither ranks well in its class. The Megaboom 4 is IP67 rated, floats and finally uses USB-C charging, though it distorts a lot at higher volumes. The Terrain is IPX7 rated with a carry strap but the source records no bass and very rolled-off treble. Both are rated below 3.0/5 among the 172 medium speakers; for better sound, the EarFun Uboom L ranks #2 at $49.79.
Buy the Skullcandy Terrain. Both are rated the same for sound quality, and it costs $150.51 less than the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 4.
