These are not really the same size class, and that is the honest framing here. The Samsung MX-ST50B ranks #19 of 44 party speakers at $300; the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2 ranks #22 of 70 boombox speakers at $300.
On the Samsung MX-ST50B side: Sounds reasonably balanced. The catch: Not as deep bass as the Partybox 110 or other higher ranked speakers.
The case for the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2: Pretty deep bass. The catch: Sounds quite muddy with the boosted lower and upper bass.
Buy the Samsung MX-ST50B at $300 if you want a party speaker. Buy the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2 at $300 if you want a boombox speaker instead.

Pros: Sounds reasonably balanced. A little tough to judge based on the sound samples, would be nice to have more comparisons.
Cons: Not as deep bass as the Partybox 110 or other higher ranked speakers. Needs to be plugged in to reach higher volume.

Tribit Stormbox Blast 2: $300 Amazon
Pros: Pretty deep bass.
Cons: Sounds quite muddy with the boosted lower and upper bass. Boosted treble around 6khz. Xbass mode makes it sound even more muddy. Nowhere near as neutral and balanced as the first Blast and a big downgrade unless you only care about max volume
