What the RSL (Rogersound Labs) Speedwoofer 10S MKII does well: A 10 inch ported subwoofer with a strong amplifier, separate movie and music modes, and a built in wireless receiver. The tradeoff: The ported cabinet is big and heavy for a 10 inch subwoofer, at 40.6 lbs (18.4 kg) and about 39 x 38 x 40 cm, and its rear port needs some space from the wall.
The case for the Monitor Audio RXW12: A sealed 12 inch subwoofer with a strong amplifier for small to medium rooms, now discontinued. The tradeoff: Output drops to 97.9dB at 31.5Hz and 88.9dB at 20Hz, so deep bass is limited.
Buy the RSL (Rogersound Labs) Speedwoofer 10S MKII if you want one new; the Monitor Audio RXW12 is discontinued, so only look for it used.
