Short answer: the SVS PB-1000 PRO, if you are buying new. The Power Sound Audio (PSA) XS15SE ranks higher than it (#30 vs #51 of 212 subwoofers, 3.9/5 vs 3.8/5) but is discontinued, so only consider it used; the SVS PB-1000 PRO is still sold new at $849.
Why pick the Power Sound Audio (PSA) XS15SE: A compact sealed 15 inch subwoofer with strong output for movies and music, now discontinued. Watch for: At 67 lbs (30.4 kg) and 495.3H x 431.8W x 457.2D mm it is heavy and sizeable even though it is sealed.
What the SVS PB-1000 PRO does well: A ported 12 inch subwoofer with deep, room shaking bass for the money and app control. The catch: An SPL-style presentation with a heavier tone that is a little more in your face and can crush fine detail compared with Rythmik’s servo subs.
Buy the SVS PB-1000 PRO new; the Power Sound Audio (PSA) XS15SE is no longer sold new, so it only makes sense as a used find.
