The MartinLogan Dynamo 1600X is the better-sounding choice. A sealed 15 inch subwoofer with forceful, tight bass, front or down firing setup, and app based room correction, now discontinued. The tradeoff: Output falls to 86.2dB at 15Hz, so the very lowest effects are weaker than the strong midbass numbers suggest.
What the JL Audio E112 does well: A sealed 12 inch subwoofer with fast, powerful bass, a very strong amplifier and excellent build quality. The catch: There are no balanced inputs and no built-in EQ, which a SVS SB13-Ultra with similar output includes for $400 to $500 less.
Buy the JL Audio E112, since the MartinLogan Dynamo 1600X is discontinued and only worth hunting down used.
