Short answer: the Tribit Stormbox Mini for waterproofing and features, the LG Xboom Go PL5 for battery life, though neither ranks well in its class. The Mini at $23 against $289 is IPX7 waterproof with RGB lighting, app support with the AAC codec, TWS pairing and USB-C charging, plus an excellent 12 hours of battery, though it lacks quite a bit of bass. The PL5 has an 18 hour battery life and is IPX5 rated, but it has barely any bass either. Both are rated below 3.0/5 among the 151 medium speakers; for better sound, the Earfun Uboom L ranks #1 at $49.79.
Buy the LG Xboom Go PL5 new; the Tribit Stormbox Mini is no longer sold new, so it only makes sense as a used find.

Pros: IPX7 waterproof, excellent battery life (12 hours), RGB LED lighting, app support with AAC codec, true wireless stereo (TWS) capability, USB-C charging. Measured bass extension of ~85Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Lacking quite a bit of bass. Sounds hollow and thuddy. Just not great overall. Discontinued; Tribit has retired it, superseded by the Stormbox Mini+.
