Short answer: the LG PN7, unless you want maximum bass output and nothing else, though neither ranks well in its class. The Trance/Rave Mega at $49 against $150 brings 80W and 105dB output with BassUp technology for body-shaking bass, but its mids and treble are hugely recessed. The PN7 offers a more complete package: 24-hour battery, IPX7 waterproofing, 106dB max volume, XBOOM app support, Wireless Party Link and stereo capability, with no deep bass as its weakness. Both are rated below 3.0/5 among the 97 large speakers, and the Tribit Stormbox Lava, ranked #3 at $100, is a better place to start if sound quality matters.
Buy the LG PN7 only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, start with the Tribit Stormbox Lava instead.
