Last updated: September 16, 2026

Short answer: the Vifa Helsinki if sound quality matters most, the Klipsch Detroit if price matters most. The Vifa Helsinki ranks #1 of 78 large speakers at $449. The Klipsch Detroit ranks #54 at $234.99, $214.01 cheaper.

Klipsch Detroit vs Vifa Helsinki

What the Klipsch Detroit offers: Dual 1” tweeters + 3” woofers deliver excellent sound detail and robust bass. IP67 dust/waterproof rating submersible 1m for 30 min. 20-hour battery life at moderate volume (12-15 hours at high volume). USB-C fast-charge in 2 hours with two-way power for device charging. Watch for: Weird boosted upper bass, bass not very deep. Boosted lower treble, somewhat harsh sounding like most other Klipsch speakers. Not very loud.

What the Vifa Helsinki offers: Generally regarded as the best midrange and treble sound quality of any battery powered Bluetooth speaker. Watch for: No TWS pairing, looks like a purse, requires a hacked Vifa app (Android only post #48) to enable night mode to sound good. Not sure I can recommend this one generally these days, the Uboom L has 98% of the sound quality with more features and a way cheaper price. There are mentions that the 2022 “new” version of this speaker doesn’t sound as good as Vifa was purchased by a Chinese company and laid off all the great sound engineers in the Austria office.

Buy the Klipsch Detroit if the price is the priority over sound quality, or the Vifa Helsinki if sound quality is the priority over the price.

If battery life is a priority, the Klipsch Detroit is rated for 20 hours versus 8 hours for the Vifa Helsinki.

If water resistance matters to you, the Klipsch Detroit at IP67 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the Vifa Helsinki at no water resistance.
