What the Kali Audio LP-8 offers: The exact first-generation LP-8 now has a Spinorama record. Its digitized Audioholics data shows a 3.2dB frequency-deviation band from 300Hz to 5kHz, documents its directivity behavior, and provides usable EQ filters. The large 8-inch woofer and boundary-EQ controls remain practical advantages for nearfield use. Watch for: The Spinorama source is a low-quality scanned graph truncated below roughly 201Hz, so it cannot calculate a preference score or validate bass extension. The measured mid/treble response is less even than stronger monitors, and this is the discontinued original LP-8 rather than the better-measuring V2; an uncertainty adjustment is therefore applied.
