Short answer: Adam Audio T8V is the stronger evidence-backed large budget monitor, while the original Kali LP-8 is now overshadowed by its newer V2 revision. T8V measures close to neutral but has a 4.6kHz crossover notch and needs its tweeter at ear height to avoid vertical-response problems.
On the Kali Audio LP-8 side: Note the newer V2 is out which could be a little better. Set against that: Eris 8 has this beat by a little bit.
The case for the Adam Audio T8V: Quite balanced and neutral, very close to the Yamaha HS8. The tradeoff: A crossover-region notch around 4.6kHz where tweeter and woofer interact, and a hole in the vertical response below the tweeter axis; keep the tweeter at or above ear height.
Buy the Kali Audio LP-8 only if its lower cost and large woofer outweigh the availability of its updated V2.
Buy the Adam Audio T8V if you want the better-documented neutral monitor and can place it at the right height.

Pros: The original LP-8 offers a large woofer, a waveguide and placement switches for affordable nearfield monitoring.
Cons: First-generation amplifier noise can be distracting at a quiet desk. The large cabinets need substantial space, and placement switches do not replace full room correction. The response sounds a bit hooded. Discontinued.

Pros: Measured -3dB extension of 39.6Hz gives useful bass depth for an affordable large monitor. Analog inputs and basic shelf controls offer uncomplicated studio integration. Measured bass extension of 39.6Hz (-3dB).
Cons: The 6.31 ideal-subwoofer score and 3.0dB response span from 300Hz to 5kHz show less even tonal balance than stronger budget alternatives. Treble emphasis and crossover-region vertical cancellation make listening height important. Deep bass and an AMT tweeter do not by themselves imply accurate sound. A notch around 4.6kHz, where tweeter and woofer interact, and a hole below the tweeter axis mean the tweeter should sit at or above ear height.
