Short answer: the Kali Audio LP-6 V2, if you are buying new. The Kali Audio LP-6 ranks higher than the ADAM Audio A7V (#55 vs #82 of 118 powered bookshelf speakers) but is discontinued; its replacement, the Kali Audio LP-6 V2, is rated 4.4/5 at $498 and is still sold new.

The case for the Kali Audio LP-6: The original LP-6 measures 43.9Hz at -3dB and scores 6.33 with an ideal subwoofer. The tradeoff: The measured 2.9dB response span from 300Hz to 5kHz is less even than the newer Kali Audio LP-6 V2.
Why pick the ADAM Audio A7V: Onboard DSP and correction integration offer useful ways to tailor the speaker to a room. The catch: The measured configuration spans 6.3dB from 300Hz to 5kHz, so its native response is appreciably less even than the leading monitors.
Buy the Kali Audio LP-6 V2, the replacement for the discontinued Kali Audio LP-6; it is rated higher for sound quality than the ADAM Audio A7V.

Frequency Response Compared
Both speakers’ spinorama measurements, overlaid. A flatter line is more neutral: peaks sound forward or harsh, dips sound recessed. Each curve is shifted so its average from 300 Hz to 3 kHz sits at 0 dB, so loudness differences between the two are removed and only the shape is compared. The two were measured by different sources, so small differences, especially in the bass, can come from the measurement setup rather than the speakers.

Kali Audio LP-6: $298 per pair Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the Kali Audio LP-6 V2, ranked higher, rated 4.4/5, released Nov 2021. See every Kali Audio LP generation.
Same family: the Kali Audio LP-8 (larger bookshelf, ranked lower, rated 3.9/5).
Pros: The original LP-6 measures 43.9Hz at -3dB and scores 6.33 with an ideal subwoofer. Its waveguide and placement controls make it a credible budget studio monitor, with useful bass for ordinary music listening. Measured bass extension of 43.9Hz (-3dB).
Cons: The measured 2.9dB response span from 300Hz to 5kHz is less even than the newer Kali Audio LP-6 V2. First-generation amplifier hiss can be distracting at short distances. Do not assume the V2’s noise improvements or measurements apply to this model. A port resonance adds bumps around 900Hz to 1kHz. Discontinued.

Same family: the ADAM Audio A4V (smaller bookshelf, rated 3.6/5), the ADAM Audio A44H (smaller bookshelf, estimated 3.8/5), the ADAM Audio A8H (larger bookshelf, ranked higher, estimated 4.4/5) and the ADAM Audio A77H (larger bookshelf, ranked higher, estimated 4.4/5). See every ADAM Audio A Series generation.
Pros: Onboard DSP and correction integration offer useful ways to tailor the speaker to a room. The Sound & Recording dataset gives a 6.57 ideal-subwoofer score and 50.9Hz measured -3dB extension, supporting use with bass assistance.
Cons: The measured configuration spans 6.3dB from 300Hz to 5kHz, so its native response is appreciably less even than the leading monitors. Performance is configuration-specific; alternate voicings or correction can change the result. Software features should not be credited as already-corrected acoustic performance.
