The LP-6 V2 has independently measured performance behind it. Erin’s Audio Corner measured its bass extension at 39.1Hz (-10dB) and 42Hz (-3dB), giving it a strong ideal-subwoofer score for an affordable nearfield monitor, and found no audible amplifier hiss along with excellent horizontal directivity from its contoured waveguide. The tradeoffs are specific: a 2.5dB response span from 300Hz to 5kHz leaves some tonal unevenness, and a vertical crossover disturbance around 1.5 to 2kHz means ear height placement matters, since desk or console reflections and ceiling bounce can expose the lobing.
The Eris Studio 8 leans on cabinet size and connectivity rather than a documented measurement advantage. Its 8 inch woofer and 140W per speaker output sit in a larger cabinet with XLR, TRS, and RCA inputs plus analog room-adjustment controls. Its own pros note it suits a conventional studio setup, but the cons point out the large cabinet needs substantial desk or stand space, and the analog room controls offer less flexibility than automatic calibration or parametric correction.
Buy the Kali Audio LP-6 V2. It is rated higher for sound quality than the Presonus Eris Studio 8 and costs less, which makes it the one to get unless you need something the other one does better.

Pros: Erin’s measurements give a 7.48 ideal-subwoofer score and 42.5Hz -3dB bass extension, a strong combination for an affordable nearfield monitor. The waveguide and placement switches help with practical setup, and the second generation improves close-range noise behavior. Measured bass extension of 42Hz (-3dB).
Cons: The 2.5dB response span from 300Hz to 5kHz leaves some tonal unevenness. Vertical crossover behavior makes ear-height placement important, and compression limits loud bass playback. Its good tonal score is not evidence of the output capability of a much larger monitor.
