Short answer: the JBL Xtreme 5 for balanced sound, the Laney F67 for a guitar-amp-styled feature set. The Xtreme 5 has a removable battery but is high priced. The F67 offers 40W RMS, a 20 hour battery, a 102mm woofer with dual tweeters and onboard EQ, but its mids are boosted to the point of harshness, the treble is slightly rolled off and it has very little bass extension.
Buy the JBL Xtreme 5. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the $160 you would save on the Laney F67 does not close the gap.
Water resistance is not close: the JBL Xtreme 5 is rated at IP68 (extended submersion), well ahead of the Laney F67 at no water resistance.
