What the JBL Partybox Stage 320 does well: An excellent sounding party speaker, with deep bass that holds up at high volume, wheels, a removable battery and mic inputs. The tradeoff: Slightly sibilant in the treble at full blast.
The Soundboks 3 is the longer-running option. A very loud battery party speaker with two 10 inch woofers and a removable 40 hour battery, now discontinued. It is rated for 40 hours of battery against 18 for the JBL Partybox Stage 320. The tradeoff: Not as neutral or as deep of bass as the above Partyboxes.
One note: the Soundboks 3 is discontinued and no longer widely available new. The Soundboks 3’s replacement, the Soundboks 4, is still sold new.
Buy the JBL Partybox Stage 320 at $499.95 if you want a party speaker. Buy the Soundboks 3 at $699 if you want a battery-powered PA speaker instead.
